SAO Cafe, a stylish new restaurant in Lekki, opened its doors to the art and music lovers from the 28th to 29th of January, for an event titled SAO and The muse.

The event was unique and refreshing featuring a range of artists from painters, to mixed media design artists, to live art. 9 artists exhibited their work including; Emmanuel Ogabi, Yadichinma Ukoha-Kalu, Dipo Doherty, TEDA, Anth Insecta, August Udoh, Yasser Claud-Ennin and Ayobola Kekere-Ekun.

There was an artisan corner – with basket weavers and henna artists displaying their craft. Guests who wanted their henna done had beautiful and intricate designs painted on their hands and feet.

Day 2 was all about the music with rapping sensation Poe, Afro jazz guitarist, Femi Leye and R n’ B soul crooner, J. Magic who blew guests away with their formidable talent. It was truly a night to remember.

The owner of SAO Café, Sarah Okeke commented “My husband and I are art and music lovers. So we couldn’t think of a better way to officially open SAO to the public – by showing people the great possibilities of our space”.

The event was conceptualized and curated by Nicole Asinugo and Emmanuel Ogabi.

SAO Café is located at 25 Prince Adelowo Adedeji Street. Off Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos.
