Presidential aspirant Donald Duke was recently in the spotlight because of his view on the LGBTQ community. During an interview On The Couch, a show hosted by Laila Johnson-Salami and Falz the Bahd Guy, he said

“I don’t understand their sexuality,” Duke said. “But I will not criminalise them. I will ensure that they have the protection of the law.” He, however, stated that he will not allow for PDA (Public Display of Affection).

Meanwhile, the Nigerian constitution prescribes 14-year-jail term for those involved in same-sex relationships.

In a recent development, the former governor of Cross River state has clarified his statement, saying that it has been construed.
