One thing is certain, Nollywood movie trailers are definitely getting my attention. I get excited at some trailers not because of the scenes they promise to wow us with but with the fact that there is a clear difference in what movie trailers used to be in Nollywood and what they have become.
I am proud to be in a generation where Nollywood is finally moving back to its prestigious name, but this isn’t about my feelings for Nollywood, this is about a movie that holds so much potential ‘8 Bars & A Clef’. This movie almost reminds me of 8 Miles by Eminem but then again I guess we would have to wait till premiere day to actually know.
The trailer tells the story of a young man in a Nigeria with a learning disability, his path to self actualization and his struggle to success in a country that holds no regards for his disabilities or short coming. The trailer speaks of love, hope and purpose.
Watch the trailer below. Hopefully this movie lives up to its expectations.
