The 2nd edition of the Annual Bellafricana African Creative Exhibition and Awards (ACE Awards) will take place on Saturday, the 28th of April by 9 am at DVenue, Water Corporation Drive, off Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria.

More than 4000 participants from different states in Nigeria and from other parts of Africa will gather for this laudable event; Captains of Industry, Upwardly Mobile Youths, Marketers, Trade Delegations & Missions, Procurement Officers, Brand and Business Managers, Art Lovers, Investors, Governmental Representatives as well as policy makers will meet at the one day event which is aimed at celebrating creativity and Innovation.

Creative entrepreneurs and top-level personalities have confirmed their participation at this year’s ACE Awards. Some of these to include: Hon. Commissioner Otunba Bimbola Ashiru, Mr Olusegun Awolowo, Mrs Ini Abimbola, Mr Lanre Adisa, Prince Adeyemi Adefulu, Mr Tobi Asehinde, Ms Geraldine Oku, Mrs Toki Mabogunje, Ms Sade Bembatoum Young, Mrs Teju Abisoye, Ms Tricia Ikponmwonba, Mr Adedunmade Onibokun, Mrs Olanrewaju Oniyitan, Rez Tha Poet, Atela and many more

To promote more creativity in Nigeria and indeed Africa as a whole, Bellafricana has come up with the ACE Awards initiative to reward innovation and encourage consumers to shop locally made products of good quality.

On what the goal of ACE Awards is, the community Manager at Bellafricana, Gbemisola Afolabi said “Small businesses need encouragement every day, not just one day a year. By giving local producers our support and rewarding their creativity, we positively impact our communities and encourage them to produce globally acceptable brands more”

The most interesting thing to look out for at this event is the over 60 amazing selection of creatives and other MSMEs including 15 beneficiaries from LSETF. To preserve the African culture they are theming the dress code and aesthetics old school.

The event is endorsed by the Lagos State Government, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC), Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Nigeria-Britain Association.

ACE Awards 2018 has also received backings from the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), ASteven Group, Zenith Carex and supported by other organisations such as Sovereign Guards, Digital Marketing Skill Institute, DODO Agency, Noah’s Ark, Labule, Swift Network, Uber, ASSETS, Lara Rose, Bella Naija, The Guardian, Inside Watch Africa, Metro Woman, Pulse Nigeria, Connect Nigeria, Woman.ng, The Entrepreneur Africa, Africa on Rise, BEN TV, NTA, Lost in Lagos, Farabale, DHL, Boulos, Mamahz model and much more.
This will be a three phase event in which two (Exhibition and Conference) of the phases will run simultaneously while the third phase (Awards Dinner) will be held as the peak of the event.

The exhibition of the event is open to everyone, there would be lots of vendors to shop from, amazing throwback music, face painting, arts and craft, games, lots of food and drinks, yummy BBQ, grilled fish, cocktails, mocktails, snacks, ice cream and so much more
