Bryan Singer No Longer Has A Place In “Legion”
Last year, Legion was one of the best shows to come out of FX Studios. The show is based on the X-men comics and follows the life of a mutant who happens to be the son of Professor X.
As with all things X-men, Bryan Singer was involved as an executive producer. However, yesterday, Noah Hawley told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Pasadena, California that Singer asked that his name is removed from the show credits completely so it doesn’t become a distraction.
This is probably because of the sexual allegations that have been raised against him and although nothing has been proven to be true yet, Singer’s has decided to take a step back on Legion.
Bryan Singer is also actively involved in the show The Gifted although his current status on that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
When Noah Hawley was asked in an interview with Entertainment Weekly about how this development might affect the show moving forward, he had this to say.
“For us, unlike The Gifted where he directed the pilot and was more involved, really it was just his name that was on the show. I literally haven’t spoken to him since before we filmed the pilot, so it’s been a couple of years. There’s always shows where you have producers names on it where you’re like, ‘I don’t know that I’ve ever met that person.’”
