“Wonder Woman 1984”: Take A Look At Pedro Pascal’s New Mysterious Character
It’s no longer news that Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal has been cast in the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel, set for release on November 1, 2019. However, the actor’s role in the superhero film remains undisclosed. You may also know Pascal from Narcos.
Director Patty Jenkins shared a very retro first look at the star in the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984. The shared photo sees Pascal sitting in a car, dressed in a classic three-piece, pin-striped suit with a yellow silk tie and matching pocket square.
Pascal also shared the photo on his own Instagram page, captioning it “Power suit. Power hair.”
Fans speculate that he may play the role of Maxwell Lord, a funder and co-founder of The Justice League who became into a man with mind-controlling powers.
Retaking her throne as the Themysciran warrior princess is Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot. Although her lover, Chris Pine, was dead by the end of the first film, he is also set to make a comeback.
At the San Diego Comic-Con, Jenkins, Gadot and Pine made an impressive performance to tease the film’s 80s setting and show some early footage of Wonder Woman beating up bad guys.
Speaking to the audience, Jenkins said,
“One of my favourite things about making the first movie in World War I, 1917, was getting to know the era. When you dig into these eras, they as metaphors signify things that are true always. There was something about [the 1980s] that symbolised the beginning of modernity and the mechanised world.”
