Crepes, popularly known as pancakes, are lifesaving breakfast meals in lots of homes. Unfortunately, a lot of people only know the conventional recipe. This recipe will break the jinx and give you that difference you have been craving for.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1 egg
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Vegetable oil

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients together and give a quick stir until well combined.
  2. Using a non-stick frying pan on a low heat, add a tablespoon of oil.
  3. With a deep cooking spoon or half cup, pour in your crepe batter into the pan. Flip the crepe after a few seconds and bring it out when it is slightly brown.
  4. Toss some leftover grated carrot and golden syrup for garnish. Or garnish with whipped cream.
