There are many reasons to look out for the actress on screen.

Not only has her acting precision garnered fans across Africa, but her dress style has also become a source of fetish/inspiration for millennials.

The proud feminist is your description of the “more-than-your-girl-next-door”. With over 153 Instagram followers, Ini is one of the few risk-takers who has defied the fashion-acting stereotype to redefine her diverse style in the Nigerian fashion scene.

“People try to tell you because you’re an actor you almost have to be too serious, they almost try to create labels. But, as a kid I always embraced fashion, I was always very outspoken about what I wanted to wear, and I’ve always liked films. So it’s just accepting yourself and saying this is who I am, this whom I chose to be.”

She describes fashion as a form of self-expression, “It’s so important. it’s not just clothes, it’s almost who you are. It’s what people think about when they see you.”

Her love for pieces goes beyond the surface. She is actively involved in choosing what colour and fabric that glides her skin. This, too, comes with a condition/mood.

She enthusiastically tells us how she delved into Nollywood after her return from New York Film School and not investment banking as she thought. This too was a struggle but “one of the best decisions” she ever made.

With all of these going for her, one begins to wonder how soon she will claim a spot in the fashion industry.
