Story of the Demi Gods
This series of headshots was inspired by the link between the demi gods of the Egyptians and Yoruba people of Nigeria, using Pharaoh and Sango as subject matters. A phenomenon to which we are oblivious of its origin, this editorial is taken from an angle of ancient aesthetics.
Visualizing this gave birth to a link between two strong demi gods from separate continents that have similar traits which transcend time and space.
In these images we witness a transition of history, a tradition of lineages and cultures taken from our pasts and present dilemmas.
“Real life essence can only be taken in the moments we absorb with detail.”
