Creating the perfect list of series based on preference might be hard but we guarantee you that these series that have probably enveloped your timeline or your work/school space are definitely worth a try.

Game of Thrones

Hit HBO fantasy drama television series which is an adaptation of George R.R Martin’s series of fantasy novels, A Song of Ice and Fire has three primary story arcs which we’ve followed from season one. Currently, in season seven it still revolves around those stories, the first being the quest to claim the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms which births a web of conflict and unlikely alliances. The second focuses on the exiled last descendant of a ruling dynasty and her quest to reclaim her title. The third focuses on the brotherhood that defends the realm against the ancient threats of the people and creatures that lie in the north and the winter that threatens to kill them all.

Insecure

Another one from HBO is the very relatable comedy written by Issa Rae and played by Issa Rae. What are the challenges a black woman faces at a job filled with white people, in a relationship that doesn’t provide the spark and with the world bent on making it hard for her? If you can think of any of those challenges then probabilities are high that Rae has brought it to life on your TV screen. Currently, in the second season, we are in to watch Rae take on the challenge called life with pep talk moments in front of her mirror as well as watch the other characters handle the drama that envelopes their daily lives.

Power

Love, sex, money, drugs are the order of the day in the Starz television series Power. The series revolves around the life of James St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) also known as Ghost as he tries to marry two worlds. He is the owner of one of New York’s finest club as well as a major player in the illegal drug system. The story of Ghost changes when his highschool sweetheart turned mistress walks back into his life. As the series works up to the fourth season we see St.Patrick’s decisions make and mar him as he tries to keep his head level, his family safe, his reputation clean and his heart with the woman of his dreams.

Ozark

So if you watched Breaking Bad then you will be definitely in to watch the popular Netflix series Ozark. Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) is a family man, a financial advisor by day and a money launderer by night is involved in laundering the money of the Mexican drug cartel. After a scheme goes wrong, he moves from Chicago to Ozark to focus on his duties to the power that threatens to take all that he holds dear to his life. Still, in the first season, it has been highly rated by IMDb.

Suits

Revolving around the life of Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) who made a name for being a kick-ass lawyer having won over seventy, mostly high profile cases, beating the best lawyers in the game from Ivy League schools without having a law degree. Mentored by Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) of the prestigious Pearson, Spectre, Litt law firm. In season six, Ross is caught and sent to jail and in season seven, he is back to the law firm which is facing financial and integrity problems but still forging ahead, doing so one case at a time.
