Michael Dapaah, aka Big Shaq’s, “Mans Not Hot” has been an integral cog in the pop culture machine of 2017. You’ll hardly find a party where the song isn’t played and the crowd usually goes crazy when it gets to “the ting go skrrra, pa-pa-pa-pa-pa.”

“Mans Not Hot” has seen huge success since its release, with over 18 million streams in addition to about 20 million YouTube views on both the original Fire In The Booth freestyle and the music video.

In Genius’ Verified series, the British comedian talks through the lyrics of the song, explaining everything we’ve wondered about!

In the hilarious video, he explains that he just never gets hot – even if he is next to the sun, the sun will be hotter than he will. He also reveals that he did alright in maths – with an E grade– showing why he can do “quick maffs.” Big Shaq also wages war (or seems to) against namesake Shaquille O’Neal, saying:

“I know Shaquille O’Neal came out with a diss track, but he’s irrelevant fam. He’s already a legend in the basketball thing. Stay out the rap thing fam.

Shaquille O’Neal! Come link man! Man’s in the USA, United States of Americas fam. I told you where I am. Man’s posted on the block. Like a lowlife. I like my Fanta with no ice. Come and link man fam.”

Just when we thought we were out of laughs for this viral phenomenon, Michael Dapaah brings us more! Watch the full video here:
