Nike announced earlier this year that they would launch their Pro Hijab line to better serve Muslim athletes. The need for this exciting new innovation came from the restrictions that female Muslim athletes have suffered over the years in the Olympics and other sporting events.

The Pro Hijab which will be launched officially in January was developed with the help of a number of athletes like Amna Al Haddad, Zahra Lari, Zeina Nassar and Ibtihaj Muhammad to name a few. The hijab comes in black and obsidian currently and will be available in white and grey in future.
With Nike leading the charge, it’s likely that other brands will follow suit in the coming years.
