OLIC 4: A Concert To Remember

The concert, which was held on Sunday, the 17th of December at the Teslim Balogun stadium, had about 15,000 people in attendance, including state commissioners, Brand Executives and A-List celebrities…

The fourth edition of Olamide Live In Lagos: The Concert [OLIC] will remain fresh in the minds of Lagosians for a long time to come.

The concert, which was held on Sunday, the 17th of December at the Teslim Balogun stadium, had about 15,000 people in attendance, including state commissioners, Brand Executives and A-List celebrities in the entertainment industry.

Security measures were not taken lightly as over 2,500 security personnel from the Nigerian Police, The Nigerian Army, LASTMA, The Nigerian Civil Defense, The Lagos State Neighborhood Watch and private security agents were deployed to ensure that people and their valuables were safe.

The concert which was its fourth edition had an organized food court from notable brands like Indomine Noodles, Domino’s Pizza, Cold Stone Confectionaries, Sharwama& Co along with a Beverage Village. Also, the first 2500 fans were given a treat of ready-to-eat meals by KoKun Foundation, a non-governmental organization.

The concert which had Jimmy and Bash as hosts featured music from old and new school artistes. Some of these notable musicians were Baba Frayo, Daddy Showkey, Terry G, Olu Maintain, Durella, Teniola, Efe, Mereal, Marvelous Benjy, Tjan, Ola Dips, Zoro, WavyTheCreator, AirBoy, Tiwa Savage, Sound Sultan, Skales, Terry Apala, YCee, Lil Kesh, SolidStar, Small Doctor, Reminisce, Skuki and Iceberg Slim while Comic relief was provided by Woli Agba. DJ’s Mewsic, Real, Enimomey and Kentalky increased the tempo of musical vibes as the concert progressed with Ushbebe’s spore on of the energetic crowd.

The peak of the concert was when the King of the Streets, OLAMIDE was ushered in by the energy god Do2dtun. The crowd could not contain their excitement when Olamide rendered songs from his old and new album. The crowd went wild when Igbo rap king, Phyno joined him to perform their collaborated songs. To top it off, Olamide ended the show with his most anticipated song “Wo”.

Indeed, the concert was worth all its fanfare.
