Everyone gets hyped about getting the perfect summer body, but did you know you do not have to go through a lot of rigorous exercise to get it? There are a few alternative ways you can exercise and get your summer body right.
Yoga
Regular readers know we’re big on yoga at GL. Yoga is not only great for flexibility, some poses will help tone your body too. Even when your summer body is right, you need to take care of it so the holiday doesn’t mess up all your good work. Find time to attend a few yoga classes to cool down during the summer.
Capoeira
Capoeira (pronounced cap-wearer) is a Brazilian martial art form, combining self-defence, acrobatics, dance, music and song. So, yeah it’s a pretty intense workout. While capoeira looks very difficult and like it will take a lot to get into, it’s actually really fun. It improves your flexibility, agility, balance, and builds upper body strength. All of this goes into ensuring your body stays in shape through the summer and long after. An added bonus is you learn a little bit about another culture.
Swimming
Thanks to the heat, you’ll probably visit the pool once or twice during the holiday. When you consider that swimming isn’t just a great recreational activity, but also an all-round workout, you might want to make more regular visits. Swimming is great because it’s a great way to cool off, very affordable, and doesn’t require a lot of equipment.
