Looking competent and professional is incredibly important. Heavy and flashy makeup is not needed in the corporate world but it does not mean you have to be totally natural with no make-up. Studies have shown that women who wear make-up to work are more likely to get promoted. The trick is finding a look that enhances your natural beauty.Your office look is as impactful as your date-night cat-eye. Here are a couple of tips for a perfect workplace look:
STEP 1: PREP STAGE
Prepare the skin with your body cream to even the skin tone and create a flawless canvas. Apply primer to your face to smoothen texture, boost coverage and help make-up wear better and last longer.
STEP 2: MASKING STAGE
Conceal any imperfections that are still prominent and obvious using a good concealer. Ensure the bags and dark circles under the eyes are covered.
STEP 3: THE FACIALS STAGE
Once you have added your foundation, you will need to add dimension back on your face. Do this by contouring, highlighting and adding blush.
STEP 4: THE DRAWING STAGE 1
Eye Brows frame a person’s face. How you define your brow makes or mar your looks. Basically what you need to is get your brows trimmed or shaped by a professional. Use eye pencil to fill it and concealer to correct any mistakes made while drawing. If you cannot draw you brow, I suggest you either acquire training on this by watching YouTube videos, asking a friend to teach or simply shapen a grown and nurtured eye brow.
STEP 5: THE DRAWING STAGE 2
This second stage of drawing has to do with the eyes. You should try to go for natural looks with the eye shadow. But you can spice it up with some colours , this depends on the colour of fabric, accessories, pair of shoes and bag you are wearing. You can add an eye brightener to waken your eyes and some mascara.
STEP 6: LIPS STATE.
Use a nude lipstick or thick lip gloss that is not too flashy. However, choose a long lasting lip product that you won’t worry about re-applying throughout the day.
