As I have been privileged with a handful of travel experiences, I understand how tedious preparing for a trip can be. Getting every other thing ready, especially financial preparedness is extremely important. Some people say money is evil, but i say, if properly managed and made good use of, it’ll only make my life better.

Concerning your proposed trips this holiday, or vacations to come, here are a few suggested tips to guide you:

  • Start early to plan your itinerary before you leave. This will help you bring to memory the requirements for your proposed trip and help you gather yourself; financially, chattels wise, documents and all.
  • Make two photocopies of any important papers. Better more prepared than less
  • Travel light. Cloth wise and baggage wise. You don’t want to get to the check point and have some your valuables suspended.
  • Travel light (financially) and carry a spare card. But inform your credit, debit, and ATM card banks or companies about your travel plans so they can help educate you on what is obtainable and not, you don’t want to get to your destination to find out you have made the silliest mistake

Travel Tips To Aid Your Preparedness!

  • Check for overseas partner banks, ATM banking rules applicable and the right debit card respectively.
  • Get information about fees and charges for overseas card usage, including hotels and feeding.
  • Get phone numbers where necessary.
  • Safeguard your health and purchase travel insurance.
  • Purchase some foreign currency at your local bank just before you leave.
  • Purchase an international phone card and open an accessible email account where colleagues, clients, friends, family etc. can easily reach you.

  • Set a goal for yourself
  • Again, check for your ATM, credit and debit cards before you leave home.
  • Find all answers to your questions; destination, currency etc. before you leave home.
