In the spirit of ending the year with a bang, historical moments that Nigerians will never forget were made. From the speculated rivalry between Nigeria’s Starboy and OBO being squashed with one performance to the reuniting of one of the best groups to emerge from the country on stage. Underlying this all is the country spending this festive season with fuel scarcity, these are the stories that made our week.

The Kardashian-Jenner reveal

After months of speculation, the most secretive family have finally slipped. Recently, images of Kylie Jenner surfaced with her baby bump which signifies that she’s due to deliver anytime soon. Khloe Kardashian also revealed via her Instagram page that she’s expecting a baby with her baby daddy Tristan Thompson. 2018 looks like the month of new mommies in Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Davido reunites Mo’Hits

After his appearance at Wizkid’s concert, Davido creates another historical moment for the Nigerian music scene as he reunites the defunct Mo’Hits crew on stage at his #30BillionConcert. This singular event shook social media as well as trended in the United States. Davido, who has had a very successful year, surely knows how to close a show.

Trumping weddings

The royal family are having an angel and devil moment as they send invites out for the wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The United Kingdom (UK) parliament are concerned about setting Trump off if Obama attends Harry’s wedding despite Obama’s close relationship with Prince Harry. Hope this invite or the lack thereof doesn’t start World War III.

#FuelScarcity

The recent fuel scarcity that overtook the country as the year came to an end broke social media as well as several wallets. Social media went crazy as citizens called the government out on incompetence and reflected on promises made as regards the fuel situation in the country. Although some fuelling stations are back to selling, people are keeping their fingers crossed against this disaster entering the new year.

Two kings, one stage

Nobody saw this coming and we guess that’s what made this moment historical. During his headline concert last Sunday, Wizkid brought Davido out on stage and squashed the many rumours about the beef between both of them. As many have tagged it a publicity stunt, this show of love between artists only proves that competition in the music industry doesn’t necessarily equate to beef.
