Tonto Dikeh accused of domestic violence

A video surfaced on social media flipping the script that Tonto Dikeh was not the victim of domestic abuse but rather the perpetrator. The video showed a scattered house and Dikeh slapping her ex-husband, Churchill. Dikeh, who reacted with a legal statement from her lawyers, has said that she will sue any media outlet that shares the video and urged them to request for the full video as the clip released put her in a bad light. Okay, Poko!

Who’s the world’s greatest?

The battle is always on and perhaps the world will never know who is truly the greatest when it comes to football. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to have obliterated every other footballer come award season. Last week Monday, Cristiano Ronaldo won Best FIFA Men’s Player award for the second year running, beating off competition from Barcelona’s Messi and Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar. Maradona, who presented the award, admitted that it “hurt his soul” to hand the award to Ronaldo and not Messi.

By the time you’d be reading this, it will be too late. That’s for those of you who weren’t aware that the Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week started on Wednesday and ended yesterday. That’s not even the best part; Heineken, who are the major sponsors of the event brought our very own cover star Jidenna as the surprising act to close the event. The events, which was hosted at the Eko Atlantic is a wonderful start to the forthcoming festive season at the end of the year!

An unlikely couple

Rumours that Birdman and Toni Braxton were married confused social media as most people felt like it was an unlikely union. However, Tamar Braxton took to Instagram to confirm the rumours in an already deleted post where she addressed her sister as Mrs Braxton-Williams after Birdman’s real name Bryan Williams. This might be the latest power couple and, according to sources have been married for two months now.

Sam Smith reveals his gender

Smith just announced to fans and the world that he is gender non-binary. For those who don’t know, non-binary is a catch-all category for gender identities that are not exclusively masculine or feminine—identities which are thus outside of the gender binary. He told The Sunday Times, “I don’t know what the title would be, but I feel just as much woman as I am a man.” Smith isn’t the first artist to align with this gender and, by the looks of things, won’t be the last.
