AAAF empowers 6,000 indigent northerners with skills acquisition

The Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SIFAX Group, has empowered over 6,000 indigents people in the north. This was disclosed by the foundation’s Northern Chapter Coordinator, Hajiya Adama Shehu Aliyu, during the maiden seminar organized in Zaria, Kaduna State, with the theme: “Touching Lives, Changing the World”.

The event was graced by government officials, royal fathers, partner agencies and beneficiaries. She said the organization is dedicated to creating positive changes in the lives of impoverished people by improving the living conditions of those suffering under the burden of poverty and social disabilities.

The beneficiaries were trained in various skills such as computer literacy, tailoring, shoe making and other relevant skills to enable them become financially independent while the graduates of skills acquisition programmes were equipped with necessary tools to help them become independent.
