Agoro warns government against declaring Abiola ex-president

The Chairman, National Action Council (NAC), Dr. Olapade Agoro, yesterday, warned the Federal Government against declaring the late Chief Moshood Abiola, a former president because the “June 12, 1993 election was inconclusive, with the winner not announced”.

The Chairman, National Action Council (NAC), Dr. Olapade Agoro, yesterday, warned the Federal Government against declaring the late Chief Moshood Abiola, a former president because the “June 12, 1993 election was inconclusive, with the winner not announced”.

Agoro said it would be wrong and illegal for President Muhammadu Buhari to declare him an ex-president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.  He also warned the Senate against making the same declaration.
