To nurture a new generation of tech-savvy young adults in Africa and ignite passion for technology to turn around the fortune of the continent, Airbus Foundation, in conjunction with its partners, The Little Engineer and STEM METS Resources, have rolled out series of Airbus Little Engineer workshops to train over 1,000 students.

This was revealed at an Airbus Little Engineer A380 workshop organised for 30 students, held at the Methodist Girls’ High School, Lagos. Executive Director, Airbus Foundation, Andrea Debbane, said investment in education and training are essential in building an educated and skilled workforce.

The foundation noted that Africa, with the fastest growing and most youthful population in the world, has developed an innovation culture that is growing fast with many social entrepreneurs and non-profit organisations.

Founder, STEM METS Resources, Jadesola Adedeji, noted that the initiative aims at ensuring Nigerian children have access to innovative and alternative means of learning where STEM education would be embraced and enhanced.
