He lamented the “slow pace of development in the area” and promised to upgrade the Oyun Waterworks through modern reticulation, stressing that with the new agricultural policy, “we will build a farm centre in Offa, construct cottage industries, especially for farm produce, to further help our women and youths.”

GOVERNORSHIP candidate of the ‎Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Simeon Ajibola, has assured Offa people that aggressive rural development would be his administration’s thrust, if voted to power.

Development of rural communities, apart from enhancing quick growth of the state’s economy and people, would also decongest the urban centres within the state, he said.
According to him, the PDP, if voted into power, would give utmost attention to the dualisation of the Kwara/Osun Road boundary to Ajasse-Ipo.

It will also upgrade the School of Health Technology and provide transformers to further boost electricity supply. Ajibola, who was accompanied by his running mate, Ahmed ‎Aluko, and some PDP chieftains during the campaign, assured that his government would synergise with the local councils to rehabilitate Adesoye tipper garage road, Ita Erin-Igosun and Anilelerin ‎roads, among others.
