The Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has urged Nigerians to emulate the Osile of Oke-Ona Egbaland, Obe Adedapo Tejuoso, by living a Godly life.

He said if a man cannot be in Christ in the place where he lives, he couldn’t be a Christian anywhere, quoting the biblical verse that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.

Speaking during the short service at Obasanjo Presidential Library on the occasion to mark the 80th birthday celebration of Oba Tejuoso in Abeokuta, Bakare, taking the sermon from the book of Philippians 1:21, said Nigerians should not be carried away with worldly things, but to be in Christ, like the celebrant.

The auditorium was filled to capacity with dignitaries, including President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented by Senator Ita Ekong.

Others were Senate President Bukola Saraki; House of Representatives Majority Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila; industrialists, Chief Razaq Okoya; Chief Michael Adeojo; Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo; Olowu of Owu, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama; Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi; Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo; among others.

Oba Tejuoso, clad in white Aso Oke, read the Bible lesson from Matthew 6: 25-34.
