Buratai orders arrest of arms bearers in Plateau
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has given a marching order to officers and men of the Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) Sector 9 in Riyom Local Council of Plateau State to arrest anyone in possession of arms.
Addressing soldiers during a special defence security exercise at Sector 6 Unit, Buratai cautioned the troops against downplaying security issues in the state.
The military chief added that blockade of highways by miscreants should not be tolerated, urging the soldiers to employ their professional skills in fishing out criminal elements within the communities.
