Ex President’s aide rues Benue killings
Former Senior Special Adviser to former President, Goodluck Jonathan on Youth and Student Affairs, Jude Imagwe, yesterday posited that Buhari has been ‘kidnapped’ by a powerful cabal in the presidency to advance their political and selfish interest to the detriment of the lives of Nigerians.
Reacting to the recent killings in Benue, Kwara, Rivers and other parts of the country by suspected herdsmen and cult related clashes, Imagwe said Buhari’s administration would be remembered for the many killings in Nigeria and not the so called cabals or ministers in his government.
He described as unacceptable the high rate of insecurity and government’s inability to bring to book, perpetrators of these heinous crimes. He urged Nigerians to use their voter’s cards to send Buhari packing come 2019.
While sympathising with victims of killings across the country, he stated, “If we say Jonathan’s government was hijacked, Buhari’s own has been kidnapped in a way that they are not even asking for ransom. It is wickedness that states like Benue, Rivers and Kwara suffered mass killings and what we heard was for the president to be announcing his campaign DG. Look at how we are suffering with fuel scarcity, the APC government is a pit of lies.”
