The Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has called on all aspirants gunning for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential ticket to accept outcome of the primary...

President of the Senate and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his entourage with the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, during his meet-the-delegates tour ahead of the party’s National Convention to elect its 2019 presidential flag bearer, in Ado Ekiti, yesterday.

The Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has called on all aspirants gunning for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential ticket to accept outcome of the primary election slated for October 6, 2018 and work for the party’s success.

Noting that he was not supporting any particular aspirant, the governor said he had urged his colleagues to allow the process be credible.

Fayose said this in Ado Ekiti, yesterday, when the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki visited the state to solicit delegates’ support for his presidential ambition.

The governor, who threatened to back out of the primary election, if the process is not credible, lamented that the country’s future had been mortgaged.

He said the last appointment President Buhari made into the Department of State Services (DSS) further “confirmed that he is insensitive.”

He said: “We never knew we could get here. I am sure you joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) because you thought Nigeria would be better. Everything in Nigeria is now in reverse gear.”

In his remarks, Saraki said democracy would have been a thing of the past in the country, but for the National Assembly’s efforts at ensuring that democracy is sustained.
