The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello, will inaugurate the FCT Inland Revenue Service this week, to help resolve all problems associated with tax collections in the territory.

Bello said the FCT IRS when fully operational would tackle the incidence of multiple taxation, through streamlining collections. This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Minister, Cosmas Uzodinma.

Bello however appealed to manufacturers in the FCT to continue to pay their taxes, saying it is by so doing that government will have enough resources to provide basic infrastructure in the city.

In his remark, the President, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Frank Udemba Jacobs, said “This, we all believe would further update you on how the manufacturing sector is faring.”
