Two die in Lagos building collapse

Also, high-tension cables reportedly snapped and fell on some portion of the Lagos Ibadan expressway, resulting in a diversion after Macpherson University along the expressway. Motorists are advised to drive carefully.  

High Tension Cable Snapped On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Two people lost their lives after a building collapsed in Meiran area of Agbado-Oke-Odo Local Government Area, following heavy rainfall in Lagos, yesterday.

The uncompleted building, housing some residents, it was learnt caved in, midway during the heavy downpour. It was gathered that those who survived were seriously wounded.

The sad incident happened around 11:48am at No 7 Saidu Okeliji Street, Alaro Street Meiran. 
The state’s Emergency Response said it got a call which it responded to promptly, resulting in the rescue of a five-year old girl, Moyin, who was immediately moved to the General Hospital, Ikeja by the Lagos State Ambulance Service.
