Ibejii Live Experience concert #TILX
Retro-Contemporaray Afro music act, Ibejii, held the audience bound with his style of music at his maiden headline concert tagged ‘The Ibejii Live Experience’ (TILX), which held at the African Artists Foundation, Victoria Island Lagos.
The concert, which was infused with cocktails created from the big bold flavours of premium scotch Johnnie Walker, brought together lovers of alternative music from across the diverse demography of Lagos society, in a serene atmosphere, where they were regaled by tunes that fused the old and the contemporary, delivered live by the mysterious and enigmatic singer.
From his ensemble, to his music and style of delivery, guests couldn’t get enough of the artiste, who in only two years in the Nigerian music industry has already distinguished his craft.
With a surprised appearance, Son of Kapenta crooner, Brymo added more verve to the already packed and extraordinary experience, and in what was considered classic performance, Ibejii and the Ara singer jointly dazzled the audience as they performed Alaigboran, a retro-track off Ibejii’s maiden album, GreenWhiteDope001.
Brymo’s appearance at #TILX was presumed a returned favour for Ibejii’s stellar performance at his jaw-dropping concert that held at Terra Kulture, Lagos last December, where a then freshly unveiled Ibejii held the huge concert audience spellbound with his sterling performance as guest artiste.
Guests at the event were also serenaded by the exceptional performances of alternative music acts like, Dwin the Stoic, Celeste Ojatula and the talented performer, Aduke. Slim and Chika, dance a group, warmed up the evening with their highly choreographed dance repertoire.
The Ibejii Live Experience is a festival to celebrate those who, like Ibejii, choose to indulge in music that is pure and true, and slightly different from the mainstream.
#TILX according to Ibejii will be an annual event, holding each year on Democracy Day.
