Ikoyi Club elects new General Committee members
Foremost family club in Nigeria, Ikoyi Club 1938 has elected new General Committee members to pilot the affairs of the club and set a new tone of activities for the next two years. The new chairman, Mr. Babatunde Akinleye, took over from Major Gen. Mufutau Balogun (rtd.).
Akinleye will be assisted in running the elite club by the Vice Chairman, Dr. Adekunle Wright; Secretary, Olukunle Oyewole; and Treasurer, Ayo Ogunyinka.
Other committee members are: Golf Captain, Adebayo Alli; Swimming, Abayomi Ogundipe; Tennis, Esan Ogunleye; Squash, Ifeanyi Maduka; Badminton, Sunday Wusu; Table Tennis, Adebayo Afolabi; Billiards, Snooker/Pool, Victor Okobi; other sports, Kenneth Ufere; and Entertainment Chairman, Toyin Leo-Olagbaiye.
Akinleye, who solicited support from all members , said the General Committee Members are determined to take the club to greater heights in line with the expectation of all.
