Speaking at the event, the Executive Director, HDI, Olufunso Owasanoye said the training is aimed at creating awareness about Universal Basic Education programme, provide participants with information about their role and core responsibilities in achieving the goals of the UBE intervention, explicate on UBEC/SUBEB projects in Somolu and Agege LGAs and encourage stakeholders’ participation in monitoring and sharing feedbacks with the HDI team.

Owasanoye further said the programme is targeted at the grassroots people so that they can have a better understanding of UBE interventions as well as understand their role as stakeholders in ensuring quality service delivery.

The HDI boss noted that the interest and active participation of stakeholders would go a long way in influencing positive decision-making in the basic education sub sector.
