Jigawa State constitutes 6-man project intervention committee

BadaruGov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has constituted a six-member committee to identify projects, intervention funds and other Federal Government grants and assistance.

This is contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir, the Secretary to the State Government, in Dutse on Wednesday.

It stated that the committee would be headed by Alhaji Ali Magashi.

“The duty of the committee is to coordinate with Federal Government MDAs to identify projects, intervention funds and other grant and assistance that the state can access, and or, participate for its utilisation.

“The committee will also identify existing federal government projects in the state that are at various levels of non-execution so as to advise the state government on getting them back on track,’’ it stated.

It stated that the committee would liaise with National Assembly members and Federal Civil Servants from the state at various levels to actualise the desired objectives.

The committee members were Kaloma Musdapha, a legal practitioner, and Faruk Gumel, Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Budget and Economic Planning.

The others were permanent secretaries Ministry of Commerce, Industries and Cooperatives and Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
