The state Police Commissioner, Mr. Walter Rugbere, who disclosed this yesterday in Uyo, one of the kidnappers identified as Samuel Emmanuel Sampson dressed in a military camouflage was shot and arrested by a police patrol team at Ikot Ekpene.
Rugbere said the suspect is helping the police to track down the fleeing suspects.
The suspected kidnappers paraded by the police were Udeme Asuquo, Ukeme Emmanuel Akpan, and Dominic Ekanem. They allegedly abducted the boy at Nkwa in Ibion Ibom Local Council.

To stem abduction in the state, he said the command had concluded interactive sessions to sensitise members of the public on the dangers inherent in kidnapping and other violent crimes.
Rugbere said the interactive sessions, which starts today would hold in each of the three senatorial districts in the state.
Other armed robbery suspects paraded include one ‘Pastor’ Victor Sunday Ekpo arrested with two locally made pistols and a laptop.
