Oba Ewuare II

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Edo State, yesterday, called for peace among communities in the state. It commended the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, on the establishment of an Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee to reduce cases of litigation and promote co-existence among his subjects.

State Director, NOA, Mrs. Grace Eseka, called on all citizens and traditional institutions to synergise with the state and federal government towards the attainment of peace in the communities and the nation.

She noted that the federal government, through the NOA, was championing peaceful co-existence, because it was critical to attracting rapid development to communities.

Speaking at the forum, a public affairs analyst, Edomwonyi Omorodion, identified unemployment, lack of infrastructure and hate speech as barriers to peace.
