NSCDC boss commends security arrangement for elections

The commandant-general specifically extolled the dedication of all members of the corps and called on them not to relent in their efforts and passion for contributing their quota to the progress and development of their fatherland.

The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ade Abolurin, has commended the security arrangements made for the just-concluded general elections.

Abolurin made the commendation in a statement issued by Mr Emmanuel Okeh, Spokesperson of the corps, on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said the diligence and professionalism of officers of the NSCDC and other security agencies were responsible for the relative peace in the country during the polls.

The commandant-general specifically extolled the dedication of all members of the corps and called on them not to relent in their efforts and passion for contributing their quota to the progress and development of their fatherland.

He also urged them not to forget the corps’ watchword which is “Humility and Integrity” in service delivery.

The NSCDC boss said that the orderly conduct of his men and other security agencies at all the polling units across the federation contributed largely to the success of the polls.

He, therefore, charged all state commands including the Federal Capital Territory, to redouble their efforts at ensuring zero tolerance for corruption by upholding the corps’ slogan of “Collect Bribe and Die, Compromise and be Kidnapped”.

He urged Nigerians to eschew violence and embrace peace and unity of the country
