Oba of Benin, Dokpesi, other ICC old boys hold convention

The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, Chairman of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi and members of Immaculate Conception College, Benin City, Old Boys Association (ICCOBA) are meeting today for its 2018 annual convention.

The Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, Chairman of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi and members of Immaculate Conception College, Benin City, Old Boys Association (ICCOBA) are meeting today for its 2018 annual convention.Members of the association from the United Kingdom and the United States have reportedly arrived Nigeria for the convention.

The three-day convention, which will run from November 9 to 11 at the NAF Officer’s Mess in Victoria Island, Lagos, is part of the association’s way of giving back to the society and upholding the values and integrity of the school every year.Other dignitaries expected at the convention include Sonny Irabor, former major generals and retired naval commanders.

The guest speaker, who is also an old boy, Mr. Oladipo Okpeseyi (SAN), would give the keynote speech on: “The Relevance of Law in Building Societal Institutions.”President of the Lagos branch, Mr. Osarenren Osayaba, told newsmen in Lagos yesterday that: “The title cannot be better timed as the nation currently grapples with the setting up and rebuilding of its institutions from law enforcement to regulatory, the judiciary and the legislature among others.

“The values such as integrity, sense of responsibility, focus and love among other impeccable qualities the school taught us is the passion that is driving us to keep the fire burning. We gather yearly to keep that relationship and values.”Chairman, Local Organising Committee, Dr. Joe Owie stressed that ICC added so much value into every student that has helped them in life. “Several of us are retired officers, governors and we still keep in touch to continue with the good works we were taught,” he said.
