Osun plans retreat on development plan

Osun State government has disclosed plans to unveil a 10-year development plan. This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner, Economic Planning, Budget and Development, Dr. Olalekan Yinusa.

Osun State government has disclosed plans to unveil a 10-year development plan. This was contained in a statement by the Commissioner, Economic Planning, Budget and Development, Dr. Olalekan Yinusa.He said the plan is to consolidate on the various gains of the present and past administrations since its creation.Yinusa said the plan would be a public document to enumerate Osun’s policy position and strategies for achieving them.

The five-day retreat/capacity building workshop for the 2018-2028 periods would focus on how to achieve the objectives and goals.The workshop, which begins today, would hold at the Royal Park Hotel, Iloko-Ijesa.

The statement added that the workshop is not about a particular person or political party, but on the future of Osun state. Expected at the workshop are Governor Rauf Aregbesola, his Deputy, Grace Titi Laoye-Tomori, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Najeem Salam, and the Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Kamil Oyedele

Also expected are representatives of the civil society organisations, political parties, community development associations and the organised private sector.
