Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Benue State, Mr. Nentawe Yilwatda, has revealed that over 400,000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected in the state.

Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Benue State, Mr. Nentawe Yilwatda, has revealed that over 400,000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) are yet to be collected in the state.

He said the number was out of the 2.4 million registered voters in the state.

Yilwalda, who disclosed this yesterday, said out of the number, Walimayo Ward, which is one of the largest wards in the state has over 12,000 uncollected PVCs.

He noted that it was for that reason that INEC is creating 12 additional distribution points in strategic areas across the state to ensure that those who had not collected their PVCs can do so.

The REC warned that any registered voter who does not collect his or her PVC before the 2019 election would be disenfranchised.
