The Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while welcoming the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from his medical vacation in the United Kingdom, urged the Presidency to be more open to Nigerians in the management of his health conditions.

In a statement signed by the spokesman of the committee, Dayo Adeyeye, the party said:
“Nigerians deserve to know the health status of their President and how it is being managed.”

It also commended Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for the manner he conducted the affairs of the country while Buhari was away and urged him to continue to work assiduously to lift the country out of the debilitating economic recession.

“To achieve this, all hands must be on deck. There is, therefore, the need to reduce political tension and bring all Nigerians together,” the party stated.
