The Oyo State police command has arrested seven suspected members of a notorious killer gang who specialise in car snatching. While parading the suspects at the state police command headquarter, Eleyele, Ibadan at the weekend, the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, said this notorious armed robbery gang had been operating in the state, killing and maiming their victims including night guards after robbing them of their property.

Odude explained that threat by the activities of this gang was what made the command to strategise, using highly reliable intelligence to get the culprit.

“This effort yielded positive result when the Command Special Anti-Robbery Squad busted the armed gang and recovered their weapon as well as the stolen vehicle.”

While speaking with newsmen, leader of the gang, Abimbola Musa, otherwise known as Don, said they have killed three of their victims during operation and have snatched 10 cars since they started the operation almost a year ago.

He said: “The mode of our operation is that we used to snatched cars, and we will now use this car to rob another victim, we didn’t sell any car we snatched, we only used this car to rob another victim, but we sell the phones and laptop of our victims.”
