Police uncover another ‘Oluwole’ in Lagos

Detectives in Lagos State Police Command have uncovered a replica of the notorious ‘Oluwole’ in Lagos, where fake documents and vehicle number plates are printed and sold to willing buyers.

Detectives in Lagos State Police Command have uncovered a replica of the notorious ‘Oluwole’ in Lagos, where fake documents and vehicle number plates are printed and sold to willing buyers.

The cartel was raided at their Oyingbo, Ebute-Meta factory. The suspects arrested during the raid were Gbenga Olawale, Okanlawon Abdullahi, Shakiru Atoyebi and Mojeed Ahmed. Others are Sarah Otun, Akeem Adeyemi and Usman Olajide.

Elated residents described the raid as a relief, alleging that they had been operating in the area for many years.

Bundles of classified government documents and fake number plates, driver’s licences were recovered from them. Other documents are 5,000 copies of General Insurance Company papers, 1,000 copies of insurance papers, 1,200 copies of allocation registration papers, 2,500 copies of Kano State Internal Revenue Documents among others.
