The policemen also assaulted a Silverbird Television cameraman and chased away some representatives of the displaced residents, who were led by their chairman, Chief Charles Adu.

According to the sheriffs, they were to paste the court order at any available space and to know the companies carrying on with construction work at a site, which is under litigation.

“The court wants to know those working here or whoever they are representing. But all our efforts to get in were not successful. The policemen said we should go away with the order, that it is not meant for them.”
