Promise needs N6.2m for third open-heart surgery

Nine-year-old Promise Nnaji was diagnosed with a heart disease known as Tetralogy of the Fallot in July 2009.Promise, who has undergone two open-heart surgeries (Intra Cardiac Repair) at Metro Hospital and Heart Institute, Nodia, India and MIOT Centre for Children’s Cardiac Care, still requires N6.2 million to undergo the final surgery.

According to a Medical Report signed by Director and Chief Pediatric Cardio Thoracic Surgeon, MIOT Centre for Children’s Cardiac Care, Dr. Robert Coelho: “Promise was diagnosed to have transposition of great arteries, sub-pulmonary ventricular septal defects, severe valvular and sub- valvular pulmonary stenosis, and S/P. left BT shunt.”
