An eighteen-year-old man, Saidu Abdullahi, has been dragged before a Katsina Senior Magistrate’s Court for allegedly having sexual intercourse with his eight-year-old sister.

Abdullahi, a junior student in one of the secondary schools in the state, resides with his parents and allegedly molested his sister at Jabango Quarters in Katsina.

The accused is facing a charge of incest, which is contrary to Section 390 of Penal Code.

He has been granted bail and directed to appear before the court on February 14, 2018, when his case would be mentioned before the court.

A charge read from Police First Information Report (FIR) before Fadila Dikko, who presided at the court yesterday, stated that the accused lured the victim to a toilet within premises of a steel rolling company, close to their house and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.

The victim was, thereafter, reportedly taken to the Katsina General Hospital for examination and treatment.

Sergeant Sani Rabiu of the Central Market Police Station outpost brought the victim to the station after the incident.

Police prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado told the court that investigation was still in progress.

He, therefore, requested for an adjournment.

Dikko adjourned the case till February 14, 2018.
