Two Nigerian Air Force jets rehearsing for Nigeria’s October 1 Independence day air parade Friday crashed on Mpape hill in Abuja, the country’s capital.

Although, no casualty has been reported as at the time of filing the report, however, the crash has caused a heavy traffic gridlock on Kubwa expressway.

Air Force spokesman Ibikunle Daramola confirmed the crash. He said there was no fatality.

“I wish confirm an air incident involving 2 Nigerian Air Force aircraft taking part in the rehearsals for the 58th Independence Day Celebrations,” he said.

“Thankfully, no lives were lost.”
