In continuation of its clap down on petrol stations involved in sharp practices in the Niger State, the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in the state yesterday sealed off two Nigeria National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) mega affiliates stations in Minna, the state capital.

The shut stations are NNPC Shango, along Minna/Suleja road, and NNPC Maitumbi, along Minna/Gwada road, all within the metropolis.

Also, the DPR instructed some independent marketers found selling petrol above approved pump price to dispense to customers at the stipulated price of 86:50 per litre supervision.

The state Controller of the department, Mr. Abdullahi Jankara, who led the team, ordered the closure of the NNPC affiliate station in Shango for using only one out of the 18 pumps in the station to sell the product to the public, describing the act as a plot to hoard the product.
