Those paraded by the Police Commissioner, Mr. Ahmed Iliyasu, included suspected cultists and armed robbers.Igbokwe, who has three kids with his wife, told journalists that it was not his intention to kill the deceased, but just wanted to wound him and report the case to the police.

His words: “It was not my intention to waste a soul like this. It is Satan that pushed me. If I knew it would be like this, I would not have done it. I didn’t know it would result to this. My aim was to just wound him and go to the police station and make a report.”

Mrs. Igbokwe, 28 on her part, disclosed that her husband had not been taking care of her and the children, saying whenever they quarreled, he would travel for months before coming back.

She disclosed that she started having affairs with the deceased a month ago but had known him for six months. She added that she regretted her action and pleaded with the government to be lenient with her “so that I will take care of my three kids.”

The Police also paraded a fake soldier, Rilwan Abubakar, 23, for extorting money from motorists. The exhibits recovered from him are Nigerian armed forces identity card, army cap, army colour watch and army chain.

Uncontrolled anger will always get you in trouble. You could have just walked away from your wife and the man. You would be free today.

The deceased was quite disrespectful. Why was it that the sacilege was committed in igbokwe’s matrimonial home? I would have reacted in a worse manner. Men must learn to respect each other. The woman should bear the brunt of the action because she exposed her husband to danger by her uncontrollable lust.

I wonder what has become of humanity. The man goes hunting for daily bread and his woman is at home having fun with her lover. What a world!
