Why I’m vying for governorship – Ibeto
Dr. Ahmed Musa Ibeto, who resigned his job as Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa has expressed his intent to contest the governorship position in Niger State on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019.
A letter to that effect was presented to the state’s party Chairman, Barr. Tanko Beji.
The former ambassador said the state had been static without tangible achievements and that he couldn’t continue to represent the country and projecting its the good image, when the situation of his state is so bad.
He said: “The state is not growing. So many things have been left undone by the current government.
There is no major achievement in the state so far.
The hospitals have no drugs, and they need to be rehabilitated. The common man cannot treat common illness like malaria.
