WIMBIZ holds 16th annual conference

Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), is to hold its 16th Annual Conference between November 13 and 14, 2017 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), is to hold its 16th Annual Conference between November 13 and 14, 2017 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The conference is WIMBIZ’s flagship event, which holds in November every year. Its first conference held in 2001 with a little over 200 delegates in attendance, and attracted over 1,400 delegates in 2016.

The 16th annual conference with the theme: The Future is Here, will examine the emerging business and economic trends across Africa.

It will also highlight the challenges that limit women’s economic participation and contribution while spotlighting the trade and investment opportunities available to them in Nigeria and Africa.

President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nike Akande is the chairman of the conference, while the Deputy British High Commissioner, Lagos, Laure Beaufils, will deliver the keynote address along with over 50 other speakers.

Rich in relevant content, the conference will feature diverse plenary sessions on various topics including manufacturing, innovative business models, African business opportunities, women in careers and small business funding among others.

Chairman, WIMBIZ Executive Council, Aishah Ahmad, said she was happy about the upcoming conference, assing: “The WIMBIZ Annual conference continues to retain its place as the most anticipated corporate event of the year for women.”
