Workers in the aviation industry have cried out to President Muhammadu Buhari, urging him to order a holistic probe into the financial activities of all agencies in the sector.

Agencies fingered by the workers include the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) and the Accident Investigation Bureau, (AIB).

Speaking under the aegis of National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) and National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), collectively, the workers maintained that virtually all the ills plaguing the aviation sector could be traced to the agencies.

They pointed out that avoidable air accidents in the sector stem from corruption and misappropriation of funds allocated as well as internally generated revenue.
